In 1997, the UK reduced the size of the 50 pence and after 6 months none of the large size were no longer circulating.

Thanks for the responses!

Here are the results of today's box search.

Silver:

1- 1942P Walker
1- 1943S Walker
1- 1964P

Silver Clad:

2- 1967's
1-1968D
1-1969D

*1-1984D MS+ Grade
*1- 2008P Satin Finish, MS+Grade.

Big drop from the last 2 boxes, but that's to be expected.

I seriously doubt being able to find alot on a regular basis.

No silver in the 2 FED boxes I searched. The only coin worth keeping was a 1972 S proof.

I went through two brinks boxes and only pulled a heavily circulated 71s, however when I went to dump off the boxes I found that the reject slot was jammed with over 40 dollars worth of quarters, along with some canadian coins, an isreali 10 agorot, and a 1945 American issued 5 Centavo!!!!

I searched 7 boxes over the weekend. I got-

4-1964

56-40%ers

All of which were in 3 of the 7 boxes.

Xavier, I often have good luck finding extra money in the return at the coin counting machine. This week I got a 1964 washington.
It makes me look forward to dumping my coins. I've already posted it
but about a month or two ago I got a silver eagle that was jammed in the machine. Now thats motivation to dump your coins.

Great Boxes Don

Congrats!

I've found all sorts of weird stuff from the reject bin.

Besides all sorts of foreign coins, toll bridge tokens etc, I just found an old " PGA Charter Member" token the other day!

My bank had Kennedy Halfs for the first time ever! I got all three rolls the teller had. He said a kid had received them from his Grandmother.

The outer two coins on each roll were tarnished and gray but all the inner ones were MS 1973's! I was happy!

Enjoy! (These were tough to photograph...so I included 3 shots of them!)

I picked up a Fed box last night but got the dreaded black and white wrappers - no silver as usual with these wrappers. Also, all the coins were stacked obverse up when I opened it. I'm still trying to find out why the black and white wrappers seem to have no silver in them....

I've searched 8 boxes of those black & white wrappers. Boxes 1-6 & 8 were skunks. Box # 7 yielded 4-90% & 2-40%. I too, dread seeing those wrappers because of the slim silver finds.

Getting 2 boxes tomorrow/friday.

Post results later.

I never noticed the diff between black and white versus the yellow and white maybe because I think I've only had 1 box of the B&W so far.

I did notice a big diff in silver content regarding the markings on the boxes.

When the box is actually stamped with an inspection date etc, the silver content seems to be lower than if it just has a stamp and number but no physical date in the circle.

Anyone else take notice of this?
