Picked up 4 40% in loose halves today in $10 worth. I have been going to a bank that has fed rolls and have gone through 23 rolls without a find. I think they have a whole box worth so I might try and just get the rest of the box and hope thats where all the silver is.

This is fun! I had a bank hold a roll for me (thats all they had then)and after picking it up, I noticed it had "silver" hand written lightly in pencil, (dare I hope?) well, all 40%'s and 2 64's, wow, not bad!So of course, these are like potato chips, you cannot have only 1, and I drove around town to different banks, actually got alot of rolls, came out with 2 more 64's and 27 40%'s in all and 2 Franklins! On 1957-d and the other a 1958-d That was my first "different" coin! This is addicting.. what could be in the next roll? Anyway, I wanted to share my Franklin, It has a real neat Cud under the chin!

Picked up 2 boxes today! Both Skunkers! Although I did find a 2002P & 2005D. I also stopped at 6 other banks grabbing up what I could find and got one 40%. I need to find another bank to buy boxes from. Only 1 box of 10 I've gotten from this bank has had any silver.

I recently went to the bank, and the teller said she had 12 silver half dollars. I eagerly bought them for face, and found 5 40 percent silver Kennedys, and 1 1964.

ratman - are those boxes Brinks or Fed Boxes? If they are Fed Boxes, do they have the black and white wrappers?

Brinks are paper rolls with black, yellow is Loomis. Although I have gotten clear plastic in Brinks boxes lately in other denominations.

NIce Frankline find. I think it is a die chip, not a Cud under the chin. Cuds I think are on the edge.

Over the last week I picked up two boxes. One was a bust. The other had 13 40% and 8 90% (3 or 4 Franklin's and a Booker T Washington) The Booker T Washington is only the 2nd commemorative that I have found. The other was the modern George Washington.

I'll be doing 5 boxes over the next 2/3 days- post one result after all 5 are done.

I checked a nearby in-supermarket bank branch today and they had a single roll of halves. I was pleasantly surprised to find 12 total of 1964 and 1964-D Kennedys plus two 1965's. Too bad I can't expect that kind of yield from every roll!

I searched 2 boxes today. The first box had a 1957D franklin. The 2nd box had-
1-1934 11-1964 3-40%ers
