Guess it just depends on how much capital you want to tie up in them. I usually find a few per box so after a while they pile up.

I put some in my son's piggy bank (especially the 2008s, since he was born last year). The rest I usually dump.

metaldetectingtaylor;

If you have a 2009 REDBOOK- it lists the NIFC'S - pgs 202/ 203/204 Kennedy half dollars.

They are:
1970D- issued only in mint sets
1987 D&P
2001 P
2002 D&P
2003 D&P
2004 D&P
2006 D&P
2007 D&P

*They did not list the 2005 and 2008's as NIFC's- I don't know if that's correct or if its a mistake?

Anyone have a 2010 Redbook- if so, does it list the same dates?

I was holding on to them, but have also decided to dump them except for the 87's and the 07,08 and 09 that I've found.

I've not found a 70D yet.

Maybe you could put them on the BST section chuckster? There might be some interest, and if they don't sell, you could just dump them.

This week I must have looked thru 15 or 20 rolls from different banks, only 2 40%! but I did score a 2004 S clad proof! At least that made my day, and I got one of those stories " oh you should have been here yesterday! This lady brought in $3000.00 worth of kennedys and said she inherited from her grandfathers collection and she just didnt know what to do with them! Arrrrrrrgh! ( course they got rid of them already) Anyway I'm not going to give up,
Its still very interesting!

I went through 2 FED boxes and 1 Brinks box and found:

Brinks:
1 40% silver

FED:
1 1964
9 40% silver

Will post results from another three boxes by the end of the week.

Silver Eagle, when you say FED box what do you mean? I am not aware that the FED has boxes only the carriers.

Did 5 Loomis boxes (yellow wrappers) this weekend. Here are the results.

Box #1 - 3 40's
Box #2 - skunk
Box #3 - 24 40's; 3 90's
Box #4 - skunk
Box #5 - 1 90

The skunk boxes had a lot of uncirculated coins in them. Lots of 1995, 1991, 2000 and 1971's looked brand new. Kept a few to make into uncirculated rolls. Overall not too bad but wish totals were a bit higher.

Bank hopping for customer wrapped rolls today I got a 1964, 1967 & a 2002P. Found somebody's dump bank (actually quite a few dump banks). Every one of them had rolls with BU 1995's all wrapped in the same wrappers.

I am picking up 2 more boxes from a different bank this morning.
Will post them later.

Found a bank with customer rolls yesterday, $50 worth. Cracked them open and found 2 64's and 1 67 and a 1972 Mexican peso.

Yesturday I went to the bank and the girl there had a little manilla colored box that had a time sheet printed on it from a bank in Sprinfield Mo. this thing probably dates back to the Late 60's early 70's. It was $20 face value of JFK's, it yielded 7-1964's 1-1953 Ben Franklin and 1-1949 walking liberty. I am going back there today to see if she has more.
