I find I get better results from going inside! If the teller who is helping me doesn't ask the other tellers...I can, and I can see if they check the vault inventory (some banks have a log sheet the tellers can look and see if they have rolls in the vault) They get to know me on sight! I've only had a problem at one branch...one time. I've been there before and no problem.

Sure does tls867! I know that feelin', too, unfortunately, when your timing was a little off. But, as you know, there's always the next time...just keep slugging away at it. :)

Pretty good day yesterday about 4 rolls and 16 dollars in loose and found 7 40% and 3 Franklins! I agree with ratman it pays to be nice and respectful. If they think you are nice they will go to higher lengths to try and check more places for halves!

Went to one bank to pick up 2 customer rolls, only had 1 when I got there, (other teller went home early)but I got 1 40% at least. Found a credit union
with 30 rolls, they said from a long time of accumulation of different customers, alright! So I bought 6 rolls, nothing in those 6 but will go back. My luck has really been terrible lately, but I'll keep searchin!

Bought 20 rolls this morning and everyone I opened up had at least 1 very silver half...I thought WOW...then I looked at the dates, and they were like 74,71, 89, just random. after I sat there wondering what the heck they were, I realized my finger tips were silvery.
SOMEONE HAD PAINTED THEM OR SOMETHING. Now these came right out of the FED rolls too. Anyone has this happen to them. I did find a 64 and 3 40%. One teller had 5 Ikes as well.

Todays box was better than the last 4 I got! One roll had 21 coins)! Net profit 50 cents! On the upside the 2 banks I stopped at on the way to get the box yielded 15-40% out of teller trays! The last week the one bank has yielded alot of silver and I left my phone # with the teller so she can call me with any roll drops!

Well I took a break today, had to send out my 36D buffalo. So back at it tomorrow. I can't imagine why some idiot would paint the halves, and the sad thing is, is that it comes off on your hands, I can't even look at the coins. The weirdest thing to me is that there were 2 in all but one or two of the fed rolls. I just wondered how unusual that seems to be.I think I am gonna put them in one wrapper and tell the bank to make sure they don't give them out again, who knows if that crap they put on them could be dangerous. Some Grandma gives the coin to her grandchild and they ingest some of that crap and they wind up with some kind of poisoning. If it were paint, I wouldn't think it would come off on my fingers. Just my crazy thoughts as a mom.

I wish I could get a box with silver in it! I'm 2 for 13 when it comes to boxes with any silver in them! But at least the teller trays and Customer wrapped rolls are getting better!
