First of all, great finds to TLS867, Don and Gothic Florin!. I believe everyones good luck lately has rubbed off on me. I picked up my usual two boxes of halves on friday and began my routine of going through them. In the first box, I found 2 40% silver. Nothing special, but I was happy not to have gotton skunked. I opened the second box and my jaw nearly hit the floor. Staring at me were 2 S proof halves, 7 40% silver and 1 1964: all on the ends of the rolls! My heart began to race as I looked through the rolls and ended up with:

4 Franklins('48,'51,'52,'61)
3 1964
43 40% silver
6 S proofs in great shape

All in all, 56 keepers. I was stunned because I had never found more than 19 keepers in a FED box before, this was my best box in the last 3 years. I have four boxes coming in this week, hopefully the trend will continue! Days like this truly make the search worth it and you remember it the most when you get skunked, but are thankful for a find like this. You really never know what you will come across when searching.

Silver Eagle- That's awesome
That's how the boxes that I had Friday looked. I could see alot of silver coins on the ends of the rolls.
I should be picking up 2 boxes today. Will post them later.

Well I guess I better get out there and do some searching. Haven't gone out in a few days. Everything got quiet by last Friday. Lets see if the weekend brought anyone out with their silver.

I went back to the bank with the rolls in plastic holders and picked up another $40 worth and it contained another $40 worth of clad. Oh well. One roll was almost completely 1994-Ds...really nice looking, but not nice enough to keep...very shiny and sharp, but slightly circulated. I'll probably pick up the rest on Thursday if they still have them.

No silver, but I met a really nice teller today. I went to cash in the clad the I picked up on my search yesterday and she asked me if I collected them. I said yes and she asked if I was just looking for the older ones because she has a couple of others that were looking for those also. I said that there were some other, newer dates that I looked for also, but yes, mostly the older ones. She said that there was a bag of them for the coin counting machine in the back and since it wasn't busy, she'd be happy to go take a quick look and see if she could find any for me if I wanted! I said sure, if she was willing.

She came back about 5-10 minutes later and said the oldest in the bag of about $200-300 worth was a 1971. I thanked her for her time :) Very nice! Unfortunately, no silver...but I'll definitely check back with her in the future!

I picked up $500 box at lunch, it's all the stinkin black and white wrappers. They are the colour of a skunk and I will bet everything I own there is no silver in these things. I guess my good run had a come to an end sooner or later. This is what separates the men from the boys and you have to keep going so that one day I can hit the mother of all boxes like XOG did! I'll post the results tomorrow, even though I feel it will be Pepe the skunk.

I know what you mean! I've searched 10 of those and only 1 had any silver (4-90% and 1-40%)

Todays efforts from a bunch of banks and over 50 customer wrapped rolls yielded (4)40% and a 1998S proof!
