Wow, Morrrrrgaaannnns! Thats what I want next. I started taking a Morgan and showing it to tellers to get them to look to see if they have some. Its kinda hard to describe if they dont see one because they get them mixed up with Ikes. You are lucky!

PS
Congrats to Twangator, Fantastic finds!
I just got thru about 32 customer rolls a bank had and got 10-90%'s
(1-63 Franklin), and 62- 40%'s, so I was happy. Glad theres still silver circulating!

Lets Keep Searchin!

I had a guy come into the office yesterday and offer me some '64 Kennedy halves.
I went brain dead I fear and offered him $84.00 for 19 halves. What are they going for now ? Was that a stupid impulse buy on my part ? .....
Last year I thought I remember something about 10-12 times face on these.....but I don't remember what Silver was then. I wanted to be "fair" to both of us......but .....hopefully I wasn't "unfair" to myself !

eaglefoot:

Face value as of today- 90% Silver Halves- @ 17.70 oz ( NEW YORK SPOT) times .36169 OZT.= $6.40 per coin (APPROX) times 19 coins = $121.60
20 coin rolls of 90% 64 Kennedy halves are selling on E-Bay for well over $100.00.

(IMHO) $84.00 is a very nice price.

An excellent site to keep track daily for the prices of your silver bullion coins is
www.kennedyhalfdollar.com

Click on "Silver Quotes" on the right side of the page, then check the 90% and 40% on the left for actual coin and roll prices.
