Nice finds by the way Ratman and XoG! A good amount of silver has been turning up lately when the bullion price is up no less.

I've found some good ones like that! and some junk! Roll searchers often pick out the silver and reroll in the same wrappers, so you still may find junk in those wrappers.

Well, the verdict is in, all 42 were Ikes. But, I did get my silver dollar (a 40%, 71-S)! Hey, it certainly pays to be a good boy. Actually, it's been so long, I was starting to forget what silver looks like. Hoping this is a sign... PS: Ratman4762 and XavierOfGreen... !

Nice pickup on the 40% Ike Eddie! I also picked up 10 Ikes from the bank I got the customer wrapped rolls of halves! One was a 1976 type 1 I needed for my second set of Ikes! It had been gold plated and holed at some point in it's lifetime!

I hit a bank last weekend that yielded a bunch of solid silver rolls. I cleaned the vault out. There is another branch like a mile up the road and it is a central branch. Do you think I will have similar results there? I'm hoping they have a larger accumulation of customer rolls. Because I found alot of silver and the teller told me that it took a real long to time to accumulate the rolls I feel like there may not be many hunters workin the block...

Eddiespin... ahh! too bad there wasn't more silver in those dollars, but at least the Dio De Plata (huh?)saw fit to dole you out one! Surely there will be more to come! Congrats to those finding alot of silver though!, It is still out there, but we do go thru dry spells Im kindda going thru one myself end of last week all I found was 1 40% and a Ben, but on the unusual side I got a 40% 1976 s Bicentennial Proof, ( although not in good condition) I still think that was cool. Today a bank I called held 11 rolls for me, got nothing, so I turned them in and called another bank, they held 10 rolls, again nothing just dump rolls I guess, but funny thing I did find another bicentennial that for all the world looks exactly like silver, even on the edge, you know that happy feeling you get when you see that bright whitish yellow stripe in amongst the "coppers" upon unwrapping a fresh roll! Well I took it out thinking I have silver! on closer inspection I could not find the S! But It is silver I just know it! One disappointing thing though, when you drop it, it sounds like clad.. I suspect someone has plated it, but I will check it out anyway... Oh well

I picked up 3 rolls with the black and white wrappers at lunch just now, and to my surprise there was a nicely toned 1969-D in there! I've typically had very little success with those colour wrappers (as I'm sure many have seen me constantly griping about!)

Found a credit union today that is ordering a box of halves for me from Brinks. I now have 2 sources of boxes that I don't have an account with! Sadly I wont be able to get it until Wednesday and one from the other bank Thursday. And the sorry People at Suntrust (who I used to have an account with) wouldn't order me halves!

i wish I had the money to order boxes, would be nice! I can get like 60 bucks at a time, an occasional 40% and thats it. Not playin the pity game or anything, but I have some saving up to do! I've tried to get my parents to let me take money for a box out of my savings account and use the profits to put more in it (for college) but they don't seem to understand roll hunting lol I'm 13 :)

Congrats to all on the great finds lately I have been avoiding getting skunked on boxes of halves the last 3 weeks. My two boxes from last weekend yielded 1 40% and 1 1964. My two boxes from today yielded one lonely 40% silver. Hopefully, tomorrows two boxes will be more enjoyable. Happy Hunting!

Coincollectingkid - ask your parents if you can borrow the money to setup a business and split the profits with them. Keep a detailed account of how much silver you find and the value over face value. You can show them their return on their investment. Hopefully they will be impressed that their son is setting up a business that can make money in these tough economic times!
I picked up my weekly box yesterday and only got 1 1964 and 1 1968-D. Pretty weak, but at least I didn't get skunked!
