My $350 I picked up at lunch was fruitless.

Yea my $100 at lunch was a dump. Was on my way to dump $1500 so whats another 100. Finding any halves around here is getting hard, everywhere I go I hear the same thing. "I just sold mine to some guy a few hours ago."

I went through 3 boxes yesturday and they yielded 7-40%ers 2-90%ers and 1 box alone odly enough yielded 6 proofs and 25 (yes 25!) NIC's Proofs: 1973 1974 1976 1977 1978 1979 NIC's: 2-1987 P 1-1987-D 1-2002 P 2-2003 P 1-2003-D 4-2005 P 3-2005-D 5-2008 P 6-2008-D Now I am keeping all the NIC's I find but are they worth keeping? I have asked various delears and they dont seem to care for them and they dont think that they will ever be worth alot, what do you all think?

Twangator - I don't bother keeping the NIFCs. The only thing I will do is save one of each year and mint mark and upgrade as I find nicer ones. I did keep the 2009-D and 2009-P that I found in a box a few weeks ago. As for the proofs- it sounds like someone inherited a coin collection with proof sets and dumped all of them into a coin sorting machine - Sad.

Twangator, I would at least keep the 1987's and a couple of each of the nicer NIFC's. I keep all of them myself unless they are really crappy! I'm hoping to do some trading later on to get the ones I haven't been able to find roll searching!

people sometimes buy ms nifc's on the forum usually for a dollar or so, and 87's will sell regardless of their condition
