Ralph Pillar of the Community United States 1582 Posts	Posted 03/25/2009 12:46 pm My difficulty in grading this one comes from the circulation damage exhibited on the obverse - scratch/gouge in horizontal lines in shield - scratch from rim extending through the S in STATES and into Liberty's shoulder - small gouge in the T in States - scratch extending from the T through Liberty's shoulder - minor gouge in rock to the left of the shield The weakness on the reverse is, I assume due to a striking problem rather than wear - the verticle line is a problem I'm having with my old tired scanner - not on the coin.
