Hi. I bought 1878 Morgan dollar on ebay. It looks like circulated but it weighs 26,63g. It means it is a copy??

The correct weight for a Morgan dollar would be 26.73 grams so yours would be within tolerance. If it were several grams light, then you would most certainly have a fake. Looking at the images, nothing about it screams fake and there are several Morgan experts lurking about that I am sure will chime in. You might even get lucky and have a really nice VAM* on your hands

*A VAM is a die variety for Morgan and Peace Dollars, the name is derived from the two authors of the authoritative reference book on the subject, LeRoy Van Allen and George Mallis. VAMs are quite popular with Morgan collectors and some of them are incredibly valuable.

Ufff, I hope you right and this is the real Morgan. I'm not a collector but I always wanted to have a real dollar from wild west ages. It doesn't have to be beautiful and uncirculated but it must be REAL.

Its not a fake... look on the reverse (the back) and look under the "N" from IN GOD WE TRUST... see that line that runs to the eagles wing? that is a clash mark and unlikely to find them on a fake. (not a guarantee, but close)

I would say your coin is real and you have nothing to worry about. Though there are fakes out there that look real good. (There are even fakes that are listed in the TOP100 Morgan VAMs) I would say you have a nice 1878 Silver Dollar now. Congrats!

I'd also vote genuine ... it's a VAM 84A

genuine... like cleaned? or genuine like a real silver dollar. Just not sure since they started to use Genuine on holders.
