Many seemed to have been cleaned or polished.

The first three have been polished and I suspect that the other two have been cleaned in some manner as well. You aren't seeing luster, that is shine from the polishing. Luster will radiate, especially when rotated in light(hence the term "cartwheel luster") while shine will be uniformly bright. Luster is created by the striking of a coin. The striking of the dies causes the planchet to spread out and fill the collar in a cold flow process and this creates minute lines radiating towards the rim. These lines reflect light in a pattern that produces what is known as luster.

The first three I agree they have been polished. None I believe are MS.
