i have a 1931-S Wheat Cent and it is really good shape.. I would say that it is definitely AU... having seen other AU cents with the original luster.. mine looks very similar. the more eyes the better..

i want to know what you guys think.. also with pricing too.. I have the 2010 Guide to US Coins by the editors of Coin World, puts the pricing around $200..

Nice coin for sure, but no worth the grading fee IMO.

Looks high AU to me. Probably a 55 or 58? Very nice but as Thad noted, it is not worth slabbing.

It is clearly authentic and should be stored in an Air-Tite or something similar.

US COINS is usually a little high. If you want a current market value for your coin then I have found that looking at ebay and seeing what others are paying is pretty fair. just my opinion.

red book says $120.

Are you slabbing it to sell, or are you slabbing to collect? If you're slabbing it to sell, then no, don't bother. If it does sell, you may be able to make a small profit, but not worth the time and effort IMO.

If you're slabbing it to add to your collection, then yes...because you could probably slab it cheaper than buying slabbed in a similar grade.

For me, I wouldn't slab anything that wasn't a solid MS (excluding rare or errors), with no fear of getting body bagged for being cleaned, unnatural surface/color, etc.

I just sent one to ANACS to be graded so my answer is yes. They have a special right now called Dollars and Cents. It is being graded for 10 bucks. Well worth the 10 bucks IMO.

I know I'll find one in this roll!

not sure what the spot is.. I know for sure it has no scratches, dents, etc.. but my reasoning to get it slabbed/buy or sell, would be to determine if it is 55-58 etc. not sure, would having a set grading put it worth more or less?

In my experience the money spent for grading will come back a few times over just because a buyer is more comfortable paying the right money for it if it is graded.
