Hello,

I'm trying to photograph an uncirculated Sacagawea Dollar because when I try to scan it I get a black blob. Anyway my camera has macro mode but I do not have a steady hand.....any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rich

Go to the coin photography section of the forum and there are lots of ideas there. A table top tripod would help ,

There is a separate forum that says Coin Photography. On the opening page it is a little farther down than this one.
If no help there, have you tried just taking the photos outdoors? Not in direct Sunlight though but in the shade on a Sunny Day. The outdoor lighting usually is so good even a shaky hand can do OK.
Of course a couple of Martini's may help steady your hand too.
If your using a digital camera, that is one of the great things about them. If your camera has a SD type of card, you can use a 2 or 4 Gig card and take thousands of photos. Eventually one or more will turn out. That's what I do all the time. I'm old and my hands are not that steady anymore so I've found if I take a thousand photos, lots can be deleted and lots are OK.
