Oh, dear. That's beyond words. The cheek marks keep it from the Gem grade it deserves, but "uncommon" couldn't be more accurate. What a wonderful Morgan.
Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and good with mustard.
Very attractive and the toning screams "I'm original!". The shallow luster grazes on the cheek would hold it back from a mega-grade but I'd say it's strong for MS-65 and possible for MS-66. It's a real beauty!
I am afraid the marks on the cheek will keep it from being graded Mint State 65. With that caveat, you have an upper end Mint state 64 coin that is quite beautiful.
Just as an FYI, grading services may accept shallow marks on the cheek on Morgan dollars at the MS-65 level. It depends somewhat on overall eye appeal. If the coin really "pops" it can get that MS-65 even with a few marks.
Case in point: I submitted this coin to ANACS 10 years ago. I expected maybe an MS-63 DMPL and they decided it was good enough for MS-65 DMPL. The marks on CCya's dollar look less obvious than those on my coin. I'd be very surprised if it didn't make 65, at ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. It's a beauty!
