I'm really excited to see this one, and while it will arrive tomorrow and we'll all get to see what it is, I wanted to share what I see in the blurry picture, and invite anybody to study this particular issue and you;ll see why I'm excited to see this one. Brian was questioning what I could even tell about this coin from the blurry image provided when I proposed that this could even be a "full head" specimen, so I thought I'd share just how I came to that conclusion.
First....The inner shield device is complete. Even on some MS-63 coins, it could not appear this strongly in a blurry picture. By the time you have the outer rings complete...you're going to see full, or very nearly full rivets. I have seen 64s with incomplete rivets. By the time you get to where this is even a consideration, the vast majority of them (with full rings and rivets) are full head specimens.
The digits in the date are complete. Many MS specimens, even full head examples, have digits that fade at the top edge.
The knee...is undeniably rounded and full.
I just wanted to share these observations with those who may be presented with the need to assess a standing liberty of this date and mint (or others)....and just say "study the striking characteristics of the issue in question by looking at as many different specimens as you can find" and you will be better able to make a guess as to grade, which is required when calculating a bid amount that you're comfortable with.
I am going to be busy working on my car tomorrow, but will post good pictures of the coin to this thread tomorrow evening. I have more time tonight than I'm going to have tomorrow....though I can tell you that I won't disable my car until after I return from the post office

Thanks for indulging me and sharing my excitement. It's probably silly, but I had been looking for a type 2 specimen for the Dansco, and I am just hoping that this is the one.
