I'm confused between the two.I look at Heritage and see the discription deep cameo and the fields look black and I don't see any cameos that don't look black. Is it the lighting?

I know I'll find one in this roll!

I am no pro but here is my take on this. The field will look "black" on both, the difference is in the "cameo". The "deep" cameo will have a much whiter look and a more richer look to the devices. Maybe a pro will answer and explain it better then me.

Actually, John hit the proverbial nail on the head.

Yes,the whiter and richer and thicker the cameo appears the more the field will look black, like black chrome would look or a really nice mirror would look.

it doesn't really make the fields look deeper its the frost on the devices that is the cameo. If its has allot of frost its a deep cameo if not it is just a cameo. With Moderns it would be hard to find any proof that wasn't a deep cameo, just as with classics it would be hard to find one
