For me it looks suspicious too. The graininess definitely looks cast, and the general lack of details, especially on the reverse, means it's probably a copy of a copy of a copy. There's still enough to tell that it's supposed to be a "Judaea Capta" coin, commemorating the crushing of the First Jewish Revolt. As a coin with a strong religious / biblical theme, it's highly collectable, and therefore frequently copied.
