On all coins the writing and drawing are the highest points (positive), but this coin is weird. Everything is the opposite (negative), seems like being engraved.
The coin on the right is a normal 25 piastres (just for comparison)
What might cause this to happen, and does this error have a name?

Quote: Surprising they weigh the same. The odd coin looks copper inside? The density of copper is very close to CuNi. Hi Kurt, The coin was weighed yesterday using a digital scale, its weight is 4 gms while the normal coin is 4.4 gms. Does this mean it is a counterfeit? Thanks
