Back to the skate park and one middle school's athletic fields. The finds were the usual. TONS of pennies. I was out at least 4 hours of swinging, pinpointing, digging, and coin-popping! I got in some needed exercise and had a good time!

Here's what was in the bag....

More and more junk to recycle!

Here's another shot of the goods! I keep finding more screws!

Now here's the shot..........without all of the junk!

193 coins/$7.28 143 pennies/10 nickels/31 dimes:D/9 quarters

I need money!

All I can say is wow. That's a lot of digging. I see you use a pin pointer. How do you like it. Been debating myself if I want to get one. I just hate carrying to much stuff with me when I go out.

Comes with a belt holder. Wow is the only thought I had after 5 minutes with the ProPointer.

Did you go looking on a beach or where? I went around here and found pop/beer cans from the 80s, no coins :(

This stuff came from a park around where they built a big structure of ramps for the skateboarders and the bmx guys. Then part of it came from a middle school's athletic fields. Find where people are....you'll find people's stuff that they dropped or lost...!

Do you just dig holes in the grass, and no one stops you? I have always patched up my work, but am afraid someone will say not to.

Rob, I'm thinking you may have to open a "Used Hardware" store with the amount of screws and nails you're finding

I'm searching high traffic areas...and because of all of the junk I have the sensitivity cranked way down. I don't get alot of deep signals. Basically, I get a signal on my Ace250...I pinpoint with it to get the general idea of where it is. Next I grab my ProPointer and just set it on the ground where I think the signal came from. The ProPointer does the rest. It dials that target in. I then grab my lesche digging tool and poke around depending on the tone from the ProPointer. Alot of times...like in the picture above...I'll hit the coin or object right below or in the grass roots. I simply just find the end of the coin and POP it out. No big hole to fix...no plug. Now, if the PorPointer's tone tels me it's a little deeper, I still poke around a little but I end up sticking the lesche a little deeper into th ground and then still try to pop up the coin instead of digging a plug. 9 times out of 10, the coin will pop through the center of piece I'm lifting up on. Not to much damage to the grass. Once I see the coin, I stop. One good step and all you see is my bootprint! There is more damage around here by moles and squirrels. If I find dirt areas I just dig at will like a little kid! The only time I dig a small plug will be for a quarter sometimes, just for practice.
