Very nice, by Louis-Alexandre Bottee. He lived to a great age and produced some wonderful medals and statuary including one for the 1906 San Francisco eathquake.
I want to own more medals than a four star general. Give generously

The craftmanship and quality of these medals from way back then are second to none IMO.....Beauty..

Absolutely beautiful! I hope someone on the CCAC or FAC sees this a gets the idea the mint needs to change directions in their commemorative medal offerings.
Money can't buy happiness, but it sure makes misery easier to live with.

I dont understand why,but,modern medal designers,Just cant compare to artist like Bottee and Hippolyte Lefebvre...
