Hey,

I have a 1938 west Africa two shilling, grained edge coin. I now it's extremely rare, but I cant seem to find any info on how many were minted, it's value and best place to sell it...

27,852,000 total mtg. Guess it's part of that. Did a quick google & Colin Bruce documents
"valued at 325." No mention of condition.

As with most kinds of error coins, "mintages" are unknown, since nobody really knows how long the wrong collar was in place before a mint worker noticed and changed it.
