I was looking through my change bowl for the 2008 20c gap I read about in another post and found this instead. Do you guys think it is really a wavy?

Looks like one but something about it doesn't look right Take it to a specialist coin dealer to get appraisal,an ANDA dealer would be where I would take it Hope it is real, good find Concerned

Concerned, I agree with floridapalms. It is close, but hard to determine with accuracuy from the photo. I have attached a link to Triton's site. It shows a more pronounced wavy effect. For your sake I hope it is. http://triton.vg/20-66.htmlCheck the gap between platypus and whisker. It needs to be a London mint for starters.

looks to be the real deal to me, but as Yass and others have said, hard to say from photos. Agree with suggestions to get a dealer to take a peek.

Thanks everyone. I've been taking photo's with my microscope cause it's usb so the photo's go straight to my computer. It's throwing rough light though which I don;t think is helping the photo's any. I'll try taking with a camera in future or scanning. Thanks for link Yass. I'll pop this away and have someone look at it then :-) Thanks again

Yass great link to Triton page Concerned the USB microscope is a good tool but I think too much detail can confuse, the wavy 66s I have seen by eyesight are immediately seen as genuine wavys

I would say yes, barring a forgery. I will post pictures of the two that I have found later today. I have just set up a rig for a macro usb webcam :-) Step one of full noddle automation! A long way to go....

EEK. I put it away to have some one look at it. If it is one Gecko I'll put a spoiler alert out so you don't have to read it! Foridapalms. I agree with the micro - I find it makes the coins look weird as well and have a blueish sheen to them. Back to the camera for me. Dibby33 - I'd love to see your images Thanks guys!

I shall post some tomorrow. My wife spotted my wood working skills last night and sent me into the garden to make some raised garden beds for beside stairs for the deck. Took me 20min (sans kids) to make the rig and is going to take me about 3 weekends to do these beds!
