Japan.

You can go to Numista, search on Japan 50, and it will show up as you scroll through the "hits.".
Since you have a lot of world coins to ID, it would be good to develop searching skills.

Find where the date is on the coin using Numista as a reference, down in the table at the bottom is a translation (#19977;#21313;#24180; for example) for each date.

Edit: Hmm, apologies, it appears Japanese characters aren't supported!

I think you're looking at Showa year 30, which is not 1930.

In the table with price and mintage you'll find Japanese characters with translation for each date. The date for this coin, in Japanese, is under the denomination on the reverse. On your example there are four characters.

I hope this helps, understanding how to read Numista listings is almost a requirement for cataloging a lot of world coins, short of having a library of reference material! Good luck

Typically only a character or two will change year to year, you can compare various images of the same type online to find which characters change if you don't know what or where the date is.

The year on your coin is Showa Year 31, which would convert to AD 1956.
