Very nice Hondo
How were these sold, and how do you decide on selecting them?

The Brazil, El Salvador, Norway, and Ecuador coins were in a "5 for $1" box. I picked them either because of the imagery or for this game!
Mexico 10 NP and Bahamas 50 Cents were in the "melt price" bucket. I'm a sucker for cool silver at melt.
Fiji, Peru, Nicaragua, and the flipper were in 2X2s. Imagery and location played a part in all, but they were at really good prices. I will one day be selling off my collection, so I always have resale value in mind.
The nice thing about collecting world coins, especially silver, is that these coins often sit in a dealer's binder for a long time. And if they were priced when spot was $20 or $25, good deals can be had by looking for them. Examples from this trip are Liberia $1 1962 - $22 (melt $28); Mexico 5 Pesos 1953 - Hidalgo BU $21 (melt $29); Suriname 10 Gulden 1976 - $17 (melt $22). And there is a numismatic premium for all of these.
My favorite is the 1969 Anguilla $4 at melt - https://en.numista.com/20377.

Sounds like a successful trip all around, Hondo Boguss, and some great coin pickups as well. For several years in the 1990's I worked on a team in Houston which was a satellite group for the main organization in New Orleans, so I made a trip there every few weeks. I usually didn't have a lot of time for sightseeing, but I sure did enjoy the food!

Great trip & adventure, Hondo ... ya got some really nice stuff at a great price ... New Orleans was a destination for us young & wild south Mississippi 1960's kids, as, at that time, most bars would serve you if your money could reach the bar top (sober now) ... always loved the food. Commander's Palace restaurant served a $6.00 / 20 ounce sirloin, so, I'd save up for that.

...gonna hit those stores on my next visit... great job hunting, & looking forward to seeing your coins!
