Mine was something I came up with around my Senior year in high School as an online gaming name when I was working at Blockbuster Video. Zuit Suits were back in style for Prom at the time, which I wore of course.
The "Kurdle" part was just something I came up with for whatever reason. I think I just thought it sounded good at the time for a screen name. I just always stuck with it.
Real name is Jake or Jacob

Just saw this thread, thanks to Keith67!

I use "Vorpal" in front of almost all my Video Game characters names like (World of Warcraft). I love Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and the term "Vorpal" comes from a magical enchantment on a bladed weapon, that has a magical "Chance on Hit" effect when a high number on the d20(20 Sided Dice) is rolled, it will then sever the head of the unfortunate victim.
It is also derived from a poem titled "Jabberwocky" written by Lewis Carroll in his 1871 novel 'Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There'...

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!..."

"He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum gree,
And stood awhile in thought..."

"One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back..."

Soooo yeahh Epic stuffs!!

jerrytheplater: I'm Jerry. I used to be the Electroplating Manager at a captive wire plating facility. My kids came up with that name back when we first got AOL Dialup.

I named myself after the Roman Emperor Julian the Apostate who returned (however briefly) the Roman Empire to paganism from Catholicism. It's a cool moniker.

I chose the username at a time while I was heavily into identifying as a Humanist. "Humanism," is a non-religious philosophy/world view for people such as myself that don't belong to any major religion.
That said, I don't really obsess about it anymore, even if I still consider myself one on paper. If I could do it over again, I'd probably pick a different username. Lol.

The "1287" is my birth month and year. 12/87.
