I picked this one up years ago before joining the CCF. I think this one is a pretty obvious call, but what say the CCF?

AU details. I think this one had an old cleaning and is re-toning.

Low AU details - kinda lifeless. Either cleaned with some type of solvent or over dipped.

nothing is an obvious call when you are talking capped busts  AU53 - I think she grades straight

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. This one had to have been dipped, it's devoid of luster and I don't see any hairlines. I agree that it's AU50ish, definitely experienced some circulation. Despite the dipping, I'll keep it unless I land something better, always keeping an eye out for upgrades.

Not suggesting this but just noting it. Coins stored for a couple decades inside old cigar boxes tended to tone nicely. Those boxes were made from cedar or mahogany, just in case some of that wood is randomly near the coin, like an aromatic cedar closet or trunk, but not in a cigar box form. The result might be different if a particular coin sat for too long in one position, though. (The old coin cabinets, oddly enough, were usually made from cedar or mahogany. Quite the coincidence.)
