First cent in the 1956-D stack!

Very easy one to attribute... until seeing CC has E, M & LDS listings and VV goes to Stage H

Based on present & missing markers, I believe it is VV Stage B, but somewhere between CC MDS & LDS, so perhaps VV Stage B/C? No chip in the wheat. There is a nice chip on the T in LIBERTY not present in the CC MDS pics, the scratch by Y is there, but it's lacking markers found in LDS pics. No BIE, but I'm not complaining!

Not included is the picture showing the lack of horizontal scratch between N & T in CENT of VV Stage G, further alluding to having the earlier reverse die, but I'll post it if anyone is interested. Thanks for looking!

Very nice RPM and pics! Always keep an eye on the different stages on VV, this one had two different reverse dies (stage G and H) and can confuse you when you are checking for markers, because of a possible fresh die. That being said, I think you have nailed the stage on yours. The only thing that bothers me is the heavy chipping on your R and T of LIBERTY. Can you double check for the die scratch it shows across the NT of CENT in the late stage? The scratches in the C may just be coincidental.

Fsdwarp, makecents, thank you!

makecents, agreed...

I'd thought, "oh this will be an easy one", and was quickly proven wrong. Here's a shot of the lacking scratch between N & T, as well as an unchipped "B" in LIBERTY.

Just for added fun, here's a shot of EDS markers from CC:
