It's important to remember, any current US Statute can be overridden by a new Act of Congress. Nothing is impossible or potentially "against the law" forever!

They put the king on coins in England. It's the same England we declared our independence from 249 years ago for those keeping track.

Perhaps this is a sign that the American Republic is transforming into the American Empire. Just like Rome in 27 BC.

There's no way President Trump would ever approve this. He'd want his coin to be GOLD!

Quote: If this somehow gets approved as the $1 design, I will be passing on the entire 2026 program, if not the entire US Mint catalog until the Mint becomes non-partisan again. I'm heavily leaning that way too, @jbuck. I was looking forward to the semiquincentennial products but with this turn of events (assuming it happens)... not so much. I was already considering an exit from US Mint purchases in 2027 but I may end up accelerating that timeline now.

Quote: According to 31 U.S. Code § 5112 - Denominations, specifications, and design of coins... Quote: It's important to remember, any current US Statute can be overridden by a new Act of Congress. Correct. But as I said on page one, good luck getting this passed in the Senate.
