I'm gonna be 60 in 18 days, but I'm not going to remind anyone of this.

Ancient. That is the area of numismatics I most enjoy.
Does not matter if it is ancient Greek, Indo Greek, Celtic, Roman, Roman Colonial, Byzantine, Parthian, Sassanian, ancient Chinese or ancient Indian.
Also into hammered and milled, as well as modern, up to about 1950.
Oh, yes! I contributed to the poll. Almost all of my coins are older than me!

I am part of the 8% as it sits right now...CRS, EFH, and OTD ! 58 sure isn't the golden years, more like rusted metal years... ...

I fit into "51-55," but only with the greatest of reluctance.

Now your making me feel awfully old. 46-50 Quote: I'm a little tired of nosy threads. I'm 125. No one said that you had to give your age. I'm gonna be 60 in 18 days, but I'm not going to remind anyone of this. We'll remind you.

I fit in with many age categories, 18 - 40 with my students, 5 - 12 with my kids (I do play, read fit in, with the gang outside quite a bit!).

Oh my, I've been collecting for fifty years! And, yes, I have some coins from the beginning mixed in. Cents, nickels, dimes, and quarters appropriate to that age bracket that I could hide from my brother. I brought my prize coins to California in a money belt when I was eight and we got here by Continental Trailways. I remember passing through areas where they used silver dollars instead of paper money and we used 'em too. One of those silver dollars survives, that was many hard times ago. Sigh, I remember silver dollars being used as dollars....

Well, I'm in the 46-50 category (apparently tied for the strongest support group => cheers, to my brothers!!) => I am actually very-very-very happy to see that it is a fairly "normal" distrbution and that it's not all top-loaded with us old-farts ... => so, thank God that there are still some young studs interested in buying our old worn-out coins!! ==>>
