Of course, I'll post a Mexican medal. Rarely seen, Jalisco, Guadalajara gold medal. Why they used 7 rings instead of the usual 5, I don't know.

The new 50 pence coin just released by the UK for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. I hope they issue it for circulation - this one is in my Royal Mint BU set:

Cool Olympic coins here. The US Mint has on occasion sold canceled dies to the public. Most were ground down or torched to destroy the die faces. But the Olympic dies are different. Only an X was cut into the dies so most of the design is visible. About 2,800 1995, 1996 canceled dies were sold for $49 each. Today they are worth more. The ones I'm aware of have sold in the $400-$800 range. I have two Olympic dies, 1995 track and 1996 high jump. I posted the high jump die a while back in its own topic. Thought I post my track die here. 220 track dies were sold. Mine struck 1,694 coins then was withdrawn due to small spots defects in the field called starburst. Here it is along with my proof track dollar. I seriously doubt my die struck the coin I have LOL.
