yes. interestingly (to me, anyway), I was just days ago wondering why I haven't found in quite a while some other kind of food or beverage, other than bottles of water. last year and the year before I kept lists of all the stuff i'd found, aside from coins & cash. those lists occupied a full page of notebook paper. this year's list is not even halfway down the sheet so far. but there are still months to go until 2026 arrives. the list is bound to get longer. if it doesn't... I am happy to just find coins & cash. everything else is a bonus.
I'm waiting to head out for tonight's pickins, we have bouts of rain & t-storms pelting us at the moment. I always sit here & read on ccf when there's a rain delay.

i am still human. after two nights of rain and finding so little that it was nearly nothing, tonight we had a brief bit of rain in the early evening and then clearing by sunset, which was nice. not having to pedal under threat of rain or storms was a treat... but, the air was absolutely still and very juicy. I was a sweaty mess by the time I arrived at the last kitty-stop. a half-hour of easy pedaling and I was soaked. it was still & hazy & swampy tonight, but I managed to have the best night of the month, picking $1.91, all well-scattered change, including 7 dimes from one parking space near the searstown publix. very unusual, but those 7 dimes topped-off a roll. I am very eager for the end of summer, though... i have 2 months of pickin' left for this cycle.

Quote: Good luck for the next two months! thanks, I'm sure i'll need it. Quote: Mmmm. Oatmeal. yep, I start just about every day with it, hot or cold. for the first day in several days we've had no rain (so far...), though it clouded-up a couple times and looked like we might get soaked again. sunny most of the day. I expect good pickins tonight.

it was, Hondo. tonight I picked $1.81, all coins, ten cents less than last night. still, picking close to $2 on consecutive nights is great. it piles up quickly.
