Keith67, I was just joking around.. I made a mistake when I first saw that coin and assigned it a high price tag, and I could not change my guess...

Congrats Spence! . This was the reason for my outrageous guess of $1,850.00... I thought at first that it was the "Large O" variety.....

Well done, Spence. For those who may not know, this is one of the top 25 Seated Liberty quarter Varieties as published in the Liberty Seated Collector's Club Gobrecht Journal, Issue #111 by Greg Johnson. It is known as the 1854-o "crumbled die obverse" variety. It's a tough one to cherry-pick and much harder to find VF+ and up in better grades.....Good luck next round! @ CoinForMe...This is much rarer than the large O variety, but is reasonably priced if one can find it between VF and XF.

Congratulations Spence. Well done. Quote: ... It is known as the 1854-o "crumbled die obverse" variety... Does that name refer to the die chip between the right arrow and the base of the statue?
