These seem to be very underrated coins. I've been kind of searching for something to really get into. Something that I can both search through coin roll hunting, and something that is also relatively cheap if there are coins that can't be obtained through CRH or that are hard to find.

I may have potentially found a good contender! Looking at the prices on ebay for some of the older silver Roosevelts, they really aren't bad at all. One of the sellers I've used in the past seemed to have a vast array of them for 5 or 6 dollars. That's not bad for a coin IMO that is made of 90% silver.

I decided to take a leap and ordered a Dansco #7125 album, as well as several silver Roosevelt dimes. It literally cost 60 bucks. That's not bad to get into a set IMO. I think I had 4-5 coins ordered.

So, anyone else on board with Roosevelts? The older silver ones look particularly cool, though.

I like Roosevelts. I recently put together a BU set of silver (46 - 64). Its both rewarding and inexpensive. I have been tempted to get all of the silver proof ones too. Enjoy putting it together.
Jefferson nickels are a great set as well. The color of an uncirculated silver War Nickel is hard to beat. If you need a challenge full step nickels can be tough to find.

Although I have a fondness for Jefferson nickels, I agree that Roosevelt dimes are underappreciated. Uruman and others have posted some really neat dime varieties recently. Unfortunately, I found them tedious to CRH compared to nickels because of the dime's tiny size and mass.

I'm new to collecting but agree that Roosevelt's seem underrated, or, underappreciated? I love them, and I agree, at least they're more affordable!

I paid melt for the toned 1964-D from a bulk junk silver bin, and the PCGS PR68 was somewhere around $15:

I was able to get a 2022 NGC Slabbed .999 silver PF70 Ultra Cameo on ebay for $20 with some patience! Can't get to that one for a pic right now, but that'll probably be the nicest silver coin I own for a long time by grade.

I only have maybe 5 slabbed coins and three are Roosevelts

Glad to see Roosevelt dimes get some love! Out of the currently circulating US coins, I feel they are talked about the least. Best of luck filling out that Dansco album!

I have a set and keep it up to date. My original Dansco album (four pages) is so light it feels empty.

Nothing wrong with Roosevelt dimes. Coincidentally I just purchased a slabbed silver PF & I hope it's what I think it is (FS-101).

The one I bought is supposedly the most up to date one at has 5 pages. No proofs included, though.

I am at six pages. The previously mentioned four in my original album (it came with three pages, I added a fourth for proofs) and two in my custom "modern" album.

Funny timing, Thursday I just ordered 13 silver Roosevelt dimes on ebay. Figured I'd give the Rosie's some love

Awesome! I had purchased 4 earlier minted silver Rosie's. I ordered a 1946-S, 51-D, 53-S, and a 1954 philly. Cost around 20 bucks.
Like I said, not too bad for 90% silver coins. I've also had a 1957 Rosie that I found in change years ago that I just hung on to since it's silver. Ironically enough, I have encountered both silver Roosevelt and Mercury dimes in change, but never a silver Washington quarter...

I opted not to do proofs mostly to avoid the costly silver proofs, that and so I could find as many as I could to fill up the album from circulation. Not having to resort to purchasing certain coins makes it a bit more enjoyable for me personally. This is one of the things I loved about the Jefferson series and why it still remains my favorite set to this day.

I'm in Australia, but I still like the Roosevelt dimes. My set is complete from 1946 up to 2011, then I am missing most of the S mint mark coins, silver and clad up to 2022, and then nothing after that. Most of the collection is UNC, with some of the pre 1962 in XF.
Anyone know a good site for ordering loose coins?

What do you have exactly?

My Dansco #7125 is coming tomorrow. I have a small stash of circulated clad Rosie's to add to the album just to get a general idea.
My order of four silver dimes should be coming this week as well.
