Found a couple of Canada 10c in amongst my bag of Australian 5 cents today. First time I've seen Canadian 10 cents. That's a small 10 cent coin you guys have. It passed as a 5 cent in the bag. In fact I found two, a 1990 and a 2001 "P" mintmark volunteers. I figure I've doubled my money already!

The 2001 coin, is that supposed to be a circulation coin? It's very rare right? Already planning the beach house and yacht.

Hi Learjet

My freind if you are to bleach your yatch you better take your credit card out to pay for the bleacher:-)))))))) this coin in MS 63 is worth $ 0.25,there is also the normal 10 cents in 2001,but this is a good find far away from Canada.

The "P" isn't a "mintmark" in the traditional sense. On Canadian coins, "P" is short for "plated steel", as opposed to the solid nickel or cupronickel the coins used to be struck from.

Andre, or anyone who can answer my question: On the proof, what does the reverse infer, refer to, or represent. Thanks,

sorry.. The P stands for... P.. LOL it was a coin put out for vending machine companies to test all their new machines with. But a few leaked into circulation, So the mint put more out so that the demand wouldn't be outrageous and collectors wouldn't be paying thousands of dollars for the couple thousand they minted
