Hi, I bought this coin off of eBay recently because I liked the way it looked :D.

When I got it in hand, I decided to check for a repunched date. It definitely appears to be some sort of repunching, though I'm not sure how many of the digits are exhibiting it.

The ODD thing about this coin to me is the mouth of lady liberty. (The figure on the obverse is lady liberty wearing an indian headdress, right?)

So if anyone could help me figure out what is going on with this coin, and what variety it is, I would appreciate it.

pictures follow:

Based on what I see against my Snow guide, this might be Snow-25, 1907, 7/7(n).
And--I'm not sure about the chin area...could be a die chip? Let's see what others think

Having just checked all the latest images in my new "Bibnder", I don't find a match. Kurt, are you aware of a possible problem with MD, in those years? I see the "907" equally shifted right about the same distance. OR, the 907 are w,w.w. I don't see any shift, or RPD on the 1. It is difficult to see the denticles from the pictures, but there might be evidence of numbers there, which could make it a S1, possibily. IMHO. The area around the mouth is very much like a few coins I have fron the 60's, that have a similar crack in tha bowtie area. No idea as to cause.
