1953 $2 Bills

Unfortunately there really isn't anything special about them other than their appearance stands is stark contrast to the ho-hum green of today's notes. A mix of these red seal, some blue seal and older green seal notes makes a very nice present to a kid. These colorful types of notes are among my favorite small size notes. You are correct though, the value aspect of the 1953 $2 notes remains negligible over face. Depending upon the degree of how 'moderately' they were used, maybe $2 to $5 would be my guess. (Don't sell or spend them though, give 'em to a kid..........They 'are' neat).

Just for the record I would ALWAYS save something like that. I have a collection of 1950's bills, several $5's, and few $10's, and a $20. I like the fact that the ink and print is so different from modern bills. I care not what they are worth.
