Hi all,
I am an Australian and just got my new Red Book brought in from the States. I am very impressed with it; I have to say it puts our own price guide to shame...
But any way, I'm browsing through it and a few things are confusing me...
eg: On some dates in the tables there are bracketed numbers, followed by the mintage. What does that mean?
eg (page 223):
1861.......(35)..1,361,355... etc What does the (35) stand for?
Thanks in advance.

Proof totals are shown in parentheses but one must keep in mind on many of the older issues that accurate records are not available so they could be estimates. You can find this information in the "How to Use This Book" starting on page 8 of the Redbook. Hope this helps!
