hello how rare are the PE 94 20 dollar notes and what prices they go for now on the market
anyone have example what prices they go for?

The PE94 $20 is the last of the print run and according to my "Australian Coins and Banknotes - fifteenth edition" is worth $800 in VF and $1500 EF. If you could post a pic it would help heaps but to ansewr your question it is very dependant upon the condition of the note... so post a pic and I'm sure someone will be able to give you a much more accurate figure. Try eBay and check out the prices they are going for a comparison.

thanks - I had one ages ago and got exactly 800 for it but in average shape.
i just thought how rare they are and if someone else like sold for 1000's as I work in money exchange I go through all the local and coins to see anything starnge or errors
in 8 years I came across one of the 20 note and paid the rego with it -

I have sen some in well circulated condition sell for over $1000 on eBay  This one is in Fine condition. I think I will hang onto it. |

my PE94 been sitting on this one for some time now people tell me it,s should be graded EF and outstanding note. getting very hard to find!  |

The PE94 is super rare, and without a doubt the hardest to find and honestly not sure if any still exist in UNC ! In all my looking over the years, I've found only 2 examples, whereas say a VG95, I've found maybe 40 examples. If you do find one they will most likely be in F or slightly better. The two that I had I sold for around 900 mark on eBay maybe 5 years ago. I've never seen one in EF or above.
...collecting banknotes and coins; I'll always have money and something nice to look at...
