I basically "stole" this Dominion of Canada bill for a mere $425 (Charlton catalogue's book-value estimate => $900!!) ... sure, with the auction charges it is closer to $500, but still ...
=> Schwinggg, Cha-Chinnnggg! ... yup, every now and then nobody shows-up for those on-line auctions and then it's like shootin' fish in a barrel!! ... just set your sights on a few choice items and then wait to pull the trigger until you run outta cash!!
=> winner-winner, chicken dinner!! (well, maybe Kraft Dinner tonight, but I'm totally happy about it!!)
Ummmm, here is the wonderful dirty ol' bill that I just scored!! (I know it seems ridiculous, but the fact that this bill is an early issue and that it has scalloped borders makes it a total "winner"!!)
... man, even the serial number kinda makes me smile!! ... yah, I realize that it isn't a repeater, nor a radar, but 096699 seems just cool enough to make me happy (if only the 0 was a 9, or if the last 9 was a 0, then it would have been "really" awesome!!)... but that'll do pig, that'll do ...
... ahhhh, it feels pretty good to buy something besides buying ancient coins!! (huh, I've been away for a few months, but apparently it's just like falling off of a bike ... ummm, or just like "riding" a bike ... whateva ... you know what I'm sayin'!)
