Is there any way to distinguish the 80% and 50% 1967 Canadian quarters without weighing them?

I think the simplest way to tell is by how toned it is. A .500 will look almost like a normal quarter but only lightly toned, a .800 will be as toned as any silver quarter. Even weight-wise, both .500 and .800 are alike.

The only way to differentiate the 2 (without some serious chemical tests) is by sound. There is a good video of it here:
