I started searching rolls in the early 70's. I had very little money to spend on buying coins, so I searched through rolls for errors (had early Zoell books). These are just the ordinary rolled stuff. First 2 photos are cents (same items), other is nickels. (2-3 high in some spots) HMMM? Maybe it's time to return them to the bank ? NAH !

I like the old "penny pinchers" for coin rolls. I sold a roll of king George 5c in a nickel pincher and made good money because of the holder.

Nice collection you have there :-) it nice to have something to show for your years of collecting. I second the question- What are some of your best finds?

Penny Pinchers were great! I remember grabbing a whole bunch of them at the Royal bank in the Mid 70's I see a couple of Pink ones in your pictures!

The two best ones are probably a 1955 NSF cent in Fine condition, and a 1981 cent on white metal (photo posted in recent thread in error and variety section under - "1979 penny" by ninerphil). clipped rims- 55 cents, 8 nickels, 4 dimes, 9 quarters. 100's of minor errors, planchet defects, lamination, doubling, etc. Had several hundred 1978-79-80 cents with doubling and extra metal errors but have recently kept just the Au/Unc ones and the others will be rolled and returned to circulation. I have 2 little cases with drawers, with a section for each year (except 1948 nickels), to keep all the loose cents and nickels that I don't have enough to make a roll. I was keeping anything before 1960 and only AU/UNC after 1960. I guess with the change in metal prices and all the new searchers, most of the drawers will never be emptied.

Apollo, you reminded me that I did find a 1953 shoulder fold far mule, Fine, but with scratches. Probably some other decent stuff that I've forgotten about. Just hit me again, 5- 1964 extra waterlines. Here's a photo of another 5 cent box I have of better grade, multiple extras. (obviously the silver 5 cents were not found in rolls although I did find several George V nickels and cents)
