My friend and I got onto the same subject and he said he once knew of an older (not hurting for money) collector who decided he just wanted to release his collection "into the wild" so others could have the same joy that he had with them over the years. Although probably not likely, we can only hope this is what happened here.

I've felt the older collectors watching over me lately... I found an AU 1943 P war nickel a couple weeks back, and am sure it was a gift from the coin gods.

Nice, but unless he spends them, "others" isn't gonna happen, just the first teller who sees them.
