2012 Proof Silver, Gold Eagles and Proof Buffalo Release Dates

The U.S. Mint has announced that the 2012 Proof Silver Eagles will be available April 12, 2012. As of this writing, the Mint has still not provided pricing information; however, this year they will be offering the coins much earlier than anticipated (and much earlier than they did last year). In 2011, the Mint released Proof Silver Eagles on June 30. That means the 2012 Proof Silver Eagles will be released about 10 weeks ahead of schedule, compared to last year.
The Mint also announced a release date for the 2012 Proof Gold Buffaloes. They will be released on March 15, 2012. Last year's release of the Proof Gold Buffaloes was on May 19, 2011.
Finally, the Mint also announced a release date of April 19, 2012 for the 2012 American Proof Gold Eagles. Last year, the Mint released Proof Gold Eagles on April 21, 2011.
Based on the release schedule of the aforementioned coins, the Mint seems to be ahead of schedule compared to last year. This should be good for the market and for collectors; they can start buying their coins earlier than they did last year.
