Can anyone tell me if this is an error at the date area,
and if so what kind?

I don't think it PMD, as there should be "damage" on the reverse side of the edge as well right..?
I think it's called lamination, but I'm not shure.

I think it's a lamination too. Some of the date area may have peeled away after striking, leaving the weak details.
