So I am wondering where I can sell copper pennies? I sold two 10lb lots on eBay but only made $2 a lot...I'm holding onto a lot and want to sell some and make at least $5 per 10lb lot. Any ideas?

I regularly sells $16 lots on eBay for $31.99 with free priority mail shipping. By the time you figure the eBay fees and shipping, I make about $10 net profit. You won't get rich off it, but you can make some good side money. Good luck with that.

our Local coin shops will buy Wheats for 2 cents each, but not 1959-1981 copper pennies...
how many 1959-1981 copper pennies are in a 10-lb lot?

1 pound = 453.59237g
if a 1959-1981 copper cent = 3.24g
, then numbers say about $14 of copper cents in a 10-lb lot.

Approx 150 copper cents to a pound.

10 pounds = approx. 1500 copper cents

Approx 150 copper cents to a pound.
that must allow for some wear on older pennies?
Someone count exactly 1 lb and let us know... I guess $1.44

It varies per penny but there should be 140 pre 82 pennies to a pound so thats $14 face for 10 lbs. Also, anyone have the ryedale sorter? I was looking into it even though its a bit costly.
