Kennedy Half - crack on shield

Again from the mint role, this one has what looks like a die crack on the shield.

Appears to be a die scratch.

Ahh, I see what you mean. A crack would be all jagged and this is pretty smooth and mostly rounded.

As die gouges go, would this be one worth collecting? Am I right in assuming there would be more like it since it's in the die? I am one of those folks who has a bunch of mint boxes never opened. I might have another with halves from the same purchase (back in 2006).

I guess it would be a personal choice, I wouldn't. I guess there would be more of them but at some point the gouge would wear down and disappear.

Of course I am no expert, but wouldn't a gouge of crack cause a depression and not a hump effect...?
The question is more important than the answer

It would cause a depression on the die and a hump on the coin.
