Tell me the difference. Aren't you going to use colors to describe your toned coin?
Many coins today are actually colored. Painted and/or even have stickers added to them. Some people really attempt to send thoes in for slabbing. Not toned, colored.
Quote:Do people buy a $1000 coin crack it out and resubmit to
PCGS Then get what kinda percentage more?
Yes, done lots of times.
Quote:If thats the case how is NGC and ANACS still in business? If they are worth more in
PCGS slabs.
Good question. Maybe they are all out of buisness and there is only
PCGS but we haven't found out yet.
PCGS is rather well known by most coin people. Many dealers like to say "Of course it costs more, it's in a
PCGS slab"
And contrary to this is so many people prefer to purchase a ANACS or others since they ASSUME they can get it for a lesser price. And remember there are many that say the same about NGC that coins in a NGC slab are worth more.
If you go to Google and type in TPGS's, you would be amazed that there are many, many of them.
