The pictures are a bit small, but from what I can tell your coin is a Denarius RIC VII 331. Very nice looking coin.

Thank you, Echizento

The coin has a Bronze color under the patina, so you think its a Denarius? I'm going to try a larger photo..

I don't think it is a Denarius, but the reverse legend matches Julia Mamaea RIC 331 as echizento found. I'm on my way to a meeting here shortly and don't have much time to spend looking, but I'm sure someone will have the answer soon.

BTW welcome

Without size and weight it is hard to say if it is a toned denarius or a bronze imitation usually called 'Limes' denarii. If the coin is bronze color in the bottom of a scratch through the patina, it is probably unofficial. Denarii of this period should still look silver, gray or black but not copper colored.

Even if it turns out to be a Limes they are still old and some people collect them.

I have one, but it's a little hard to find out much about them.
