Don't buy a wannabee 1943/2 Jefferson nickel

I don't think this is a 1943/2 Jefferson overdate eBay Item 370598852761.I think this is the die gouge that is often mistaken for the real thing.
Note that the "roof" of the 4 is thin. The genuine 1943/2 is actually a 1943 over 1942, not just a 3 over 2 which the name implies and there is stronger doubling on the last two digits making the 4 a bit wider.


Compare to this one, I borrowed this uploaded image from a CCF post created by closelook in a post dated 03/24/2008 since it was a good image. I hope this is OK with closelook.

Thanks..better pics to refer from than my Cherry-Picker's guide for this overdate...I assume when you say the "Roof" of the 4, that is the slanted bar..I see the thick vs. thin right on.
