What would do that to the obverse ?,the reverse thing I've seen on a fair few coins & IMO is PMD.

Have to agree with enworb - have been busy trying to figure out what coin was responsible for the "overstrike" but have so far been unsuccessful.

Irrespective of how it happened, it's PMD on both sides - all the way. This seller should know better than to call it an 'Error'. I'm very disappointed to see him selling a 'shed job'. He'll get no more business from me!

With over 21,000 feedback, this seller will know without a doubt that this is simply garbage!

I have bought from this seller in the past.
Posted a bunch of stuff 10 days after I paid for it so it took nearly 3 weeks to get here.
I also have bought a die crack error threepence which turned out to be a scratch in the coin.
All the normal coins I have got from this seller have been true to the listing but I would steer clear of his "error listings"

I noticed you were still awake?

I hope you sent the 'die crack threepence' straight on back trout. Whilst you were probably pretty when it came it is pretty funny

Yeah, PMD. His errors are worth looking at though. I've picked up a couple of badly described (or even completely unidentified) errors from him for bargain prices.

Weird to use a 5 cent this way, it is kinda small but maybe the impression is from the bottom of a stool leg when the coin was used as a chock. maybe.....

It is the only thing I can come up to explain the perfect ring on the reverse and the off center damage on the obverse.

Cheers
